Steve Thomas Rooney Raising Awareness on Affordable Housing

For over 30 years, Emmy Award-winning television personality Steve Thomas Rooney has been educating people worldwide about the benefits of building affordable housing. By giving people access to his website and his USGBC profile, public presentations and an expanded online presence, he is hoping to increase the public's awareness on this important matter. Known as a serial renovator, this famous television personality has taken a particular interest in spreading the word on sustainable building and affordable housing, as well as on green renovation.

Currently, Steve Thomas Rooney serves as the spokesperson of Habitat For Humanity International, a nonprofit organization engaged is raising awareness for affordable housing, and building homes for people in need regardless of race or religion. The organization welcome volunteers and supporters from all backgrounds, and since their founding in 1976, they have helped 6.8 million people improve their living conditions. From a simple explanation of green building to outlining the role of Habitat for Humanity in helping to create a sustainable planet, Steve Thomas Rooney is on a mission of building a world in which everyone has a decent place to live.
